Welcome message from AGPJ
The Association of General Practitioners of Jamaica is among the oldest Medical Doctors Professional Member organization in Jamaica. We have large network of General Practitioners working to improve care for patients. The Association has a talented Administrative workforce of brilliant people who work to support our GP members in maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Every year, we facilitate the hosting of over 50 Continuing Medical Education sessions. Our membership is growing and we are aiming to attain a membership of 2500 GPs by year 2030. We are striving to be the voice of GPs on education, training, research, clinical standards, practice accreditation and advocacy.
The Association team continue to work with our partners and collaborators to ensure that we deliver cutting edge medical seminars to assist our healthcare providers and allied health and care workers with update medical knowledge, to essential care and services to patients.
The situation has shown just how vital general practice and GPs are for patients. We keep our staff team motivated and inspired by valuing and rewarding the contribution they make, and by supporting everyone to develop their talent to their fullest potential. By year 2030, we are hoping to offer a wider range of benefits for individuals working with us and invest in our people's learning and development. We recognise and promote the value of a diverse, dynamic and inclusive workforce.
