The Association of General Practitioners of Jamaica (AGPJ) is committed to strengthening primary care by supporting General Practitioners, family physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams across the island. How AGPJ Supports GP Practices and Primary Care Teams

AGPJ works closely with GP practices and healthcare partners to support the development and sustainability of primary care teams through:


Professional Education and Continuing Medical Education (CME)

We provide accredited CME programmes, seminars, conferences, and online learning opportunities through our eLearning portal. These programmes ensure physicians remain current with evolving clinical guidelines, emerging therapies, and best practices in patient care.


Practice Development and Support

We support GP practices in improving practice management, clinical governance, medical record systems, and compliance with national standards, including alignment with Medical Council of Jamaica requirements.


Advocacy and Representation

AGPJ represents the interests of General Practitioners and primary care physicians at the national level, working with healthcare stakeholders, policymakers, and professional organizations to strengthen and protect the role of primary care.
